Yegna Microfinance Institution has announced vacancies for various positions at its Addis Ababa headquarters. Yegna Microfinance plays a crucial role in the development sector of Ethiopia by providing credit services to micro and small enterprises as well as low-income individuals engaged in income-generating activities. Micro enterprises are instrumental in alleviating poverty by creating employment opportunities and generating income for underserved communities.

Position 1: Legal Officer-I

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law Experience: Minimum of 1 year in legal activities within banking or microfinance sectors Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Loan Section Head-I (Qty: 3)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, banking, business, or related field Experience: Minimum of 3 years overall, with 2 years in banking or microfinance as a Senior Loan Officer or related role Location: Addis Ababa

Position 3: Board Secretary

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Science & Office Management, with IT background and legal knowledge Experience: Minimum of 4 years, including 2 years in a similar role within banking or microfinance Location: Addis Ababa

Position 4: Senior Help Desk & Support Officer

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or Information Technology Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a comparable position Location: Addis Ababa

Position 5: Collateral Valuator

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or Construction Technology Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within banks or microfinance Location: Addis Ababa

Position 6: Deputy Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, Business Administration, or related fields Experience: Over 10 years in banking/microfinance, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity Location: Addis Ababa

Position 7: Deputy Chief-Strategy & Technology Officer

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields Experience: Over 10 years in banking/microfinance, with at least 5 years in strategy formulation, consulting, and business planning; expertise in financial technology preferred Location: Addis Ababa

Position 8: Deputy Chief-Human Resource Officer

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, Economics, Management, Business Administration, or related fields Experience: Over 10 years in banking or microfinance, including 5 years in managerial HR positions Location: Addis Ababa

Position 9: Finance and Budget Department Manager

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance Experience: 7-8 years in related roles, with 3 years as Finance Department Head or Manager in Banking or Microfinance Location: Addis Ababa

Position 10: Internal Audit Department Manager

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Management, Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, or related fields Experience: 5-7 years in banking/microfinance, with 3 years in senior/managerial audit positions Location: Addis Ababa

Position 11: Human Resource Training & Development Division Manager

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Business Management, or related fields Experience: 5-7 years in HR Management in banks or microfinance, including 3 years in training and development roles Location: Addis Ababa

Position 12: Resource Mobilization Division Manager (Qty: 5)

Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Business Management, or related fields Experience: 5-7 years in banking or microfinance, with 3 years in senior/managerial positions in the microfinance sector Location: Addis Ababa

Position 13: Branch Manager (Qty: 3)

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Accounting, or related fields Experience: Minimum of 4 years in related roles, including 1 year in a supervisory position in banking or microfinance Location: Addis Ababa
