World Vision is seeking competent candidates to fill the following positions

Position 1: Community Help Desk Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Establish proper feedback mechanisms at the FDP stage.
  • Lead and empower the Community Help Desk Committee during pre-distribution, distribution, and post-distribution phases.
  • Raise awareness among project stakeholders regarding food assistance, roles, and responsibilities within the assistance framework.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in aid or emergency response program implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics & Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Experience in project design, implementation, and monitoring, preferably with familiarity with major donor programs such as WFP and USAID.
  • Mastery of computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Position 2: Food Monitoring Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Support the MEAL department in developing M&E plans.
  • Follow up on decisions and recommendations, ensuring capacity building for monitoring program implementation.
  • Establish monitoring systems to track project performance and changes in food and nutrition status according to international humanitarian standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food assistance projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Economics, or related fields.
  • Ability to undertake field assignments and willingness to travel for extended periods in challenging environments.
  • Computer literacy is an advantage.

Position 3: Food Distribution Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate planning and implementation of WFP activities at the woreda level.
  • Ensure proper management of food commodities.
  • Take charge of coordinating and executing the organization’s efforts to distribute food to project beneficiaries.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in aid or emergency response program implementation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics & Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Experience in project design, implementation, and monitoring, preferably with familiarity with major donor programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing and negotiation.
  • Mastery of computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
