Position: Fundraising Intern
WaterAid began its work in Ethiopia in 1983 and established its Country Programme in 1991. The organization has been actively involved in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector since its inception, striving to ensure that everyone, everywhere has access to clean water, improved sanitation, and hygiene. WaterAid Ethiopia has since become a nationally recognized leader in the WASH sector.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Key Competencies:
- Strong writing and budgeting skills
- Proficiency in IT
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to travel to remote areas
- Capacity to prioritize and manage high volumes of work under tight deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
Role Overview: The Fundraising Intern will support the fundraising team through background donor research, funding knowledge management, and assisting in various fundraising activities. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the non-profit sector and learn the fundamentals of fundraising. You will collaborate with the Fundraising team to help secure financial resources essential for advancing WaterAid’s mission to end the water, sanitation, and hygiene crises worldwide.
