Since opening in January 2015, and with the expertise of Ethiopian, American, and visiting doctors, WHC has catered to over 120,000 patients. Originally specializing in internal medicine, WHC now provides 24-hour care across various subspecialties including cardiology, neurology, and oncology. The center aims to evolve into a multi-specialty service, and ultimately a tertiary care hospital and medical school.

   Position 1 – Junior Customer Service Officer

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field

Experience: None required

Skills

Ability to remain composed in stressful or challenging customer situations

Proficiency in using computers

Prior experience in customer support is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

Assist and direct clients based on their requests

Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor at all times

Respond promptly to customer inquiries

Communicate with customers through various channels

Address and resolve customer complaints

Process orders, forms, applications, and requests

Provide feedback on the customer service process to enhance efficiency

Ensure customer satisfaction through professional support

   Position 2 – Junior Nurse Professionals

Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Experience: None required

Key Responsibilities

Identify and act on patients’ care requirements, focusing on their needs

Create a compassionate environment by offering psychological support

Address or report patients’ needs or problems

Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (e.g., monitoring pulse, blood pressure, temperature; administering drugs and injections)

Monitor and document patients’ conditions and care services

Handle medical emergencies

Manage workloads

Adhere to care regulations and standards

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

   Position 3 – Associate Engineer

Education: BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Experience: Minimum of five years in Site Engineer or Office Engineer roles, with experience in at least two construction projects; experience in healthcare sector construction is highly desirable

Ability to learn and apply new technologies

Proven capacity to perform under pressure and in dynamic environments

Strong communication and organizational skills; experience working in fast-paced teams

Fluency in English is required

Key Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks as directed by the CPM (Construction Project Manager)

Assist in project development and implementation planning

Prepare quality control and work plans to oversee construction activities

Review project timelines and material costs; facilitate prompt approvals

Conduct continuous quality control, monitoring, and evaluation of ongoing projects

Review and approve payment requests

Support operations, finance, and other teams with construction-related tasks

Prepare construction reports, track pending issues, and identify risks

Term of Employment: Project-based, one-year contract initially

   Position 4 – Scrub Nurse

Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Experience: At least five years as a scrub nurse, with experience in orthopedic, urology, and neurosurgery preferred

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room with sterilized instruments and equipment

Assist during surgery by providing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and anticipating the surgeon’s needs

Manage and account for all surgical instruments

Prepare and position patients for surgery

Assist with post-operative care and documentation

Adhere to safety, sterilization, and infection control protocols

Experience: At least five years as an ICU or critical care nurse

Availability for 12-hour shifts (day and night)

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and monitor patient progress

Identify changes in patients’ conditions and initiate treatment

Provide regular updates to doctors, patients, and families

Respond to medical emergencies and alert appropriate doctors

Recruit, train, and manage nursing staff; handle scheduling and conflict resolution

Develop and enforce nursing policies and regulatory compliance
