Wasasa Microfinance S.C., established by the Oromo Self-Reliance Association (OSRA), a local NGO, obtained a Microfinancing Business License No. MFI/017/2000 from the National Bank of Ethiopia on September 20, 2000. Since its inception, the company has been dedicated to serving impoverished communities, particularly those involved in agriculture, by providing financial savings and credit services. Presently, it operates 51 branches and 24 rural banks across 58 Woredas of the Oromia Regional State, with plans for annual expansion.

Job Title: Marketing Expert

Qualifications:

  • BA/MA/MBA in Marketing Management, Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 6/4 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in an officer position.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Responsible for customer needs analysis, new product development, customer attraction and retention, and market research.
  • Analyze and maintain marketing data and databases to inform advertising decisions related to product design, channel selection, promotion, pricing, or interest rate setting.

Specific Duties:

  • Conduct market research and product development, including consolidating plans and reports.
  • Perform market surveys and analyze actual and potential markets for new or existing products/services.
  • Monitor the profitability and performance of current products/services.
  • Recommend new products/services or areas for improvement based on market research findings.
  • Provide marketing training to field staff.
