Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD) is a non-profit organization established in 1999 with the mission to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Over the years, MSD has focused on enhancing the socio-economic development of communities and the nation as a whole. In collaboration with partners and stakeholders, MSD amplifies the voices of citizens and community organizations in service delivery, prioritizing needs and providing targeted support and services, including education and skill development.
Position 1. Director of Partnerships and Communications
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MA/MBA) or Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Sociology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring activities.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- Organized with a professional and ethical demeanor.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure.
Position 2. OVC Health Referral Linkage Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Public Health.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in HIV prevention, care, and treatment activities.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and partnership management skills.
Position 3. Project Accountant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience; NGO experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Organized and professional in conduct.
- Proficient in accounting software, particularly Peachtree Accounting Software.
- Familiarity with donor financial compliance requirements.
- Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet browsing.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
Position 4. Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of monitoring and evaluation experience in both development and humanitarian contexts with NGOs.
- Familiarity with research methods, data management, and analysis.
- Experience in evaluation design and management of response projects.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach.
- Proficient in English and the local language.
