Goh Betoch Bank S.C. is seeking qualified candidates for the following job positions. As Ethiopia’s first private mortgage financial institution, Goh Betoch Bank S.C. will officially open its doors on October 25, marking its debut as the 21st bank with its headquarters in place. Founded by 11 forward-thinking individuals, including veteran bankers, investors, and academics, the bank is dedicated to serving the nation and its people.
The establishment of this pioneering private mortgage bank addresses several pressing issues, including a significant housing backlog, the increasing unaffordability of homes due to rising construction costs, ongoing inflation, and inadequate housing finance schemes in the country.
The bank was created by 6,657 shareholders with an initial investment of Birr 1,056 million in subscriptions and Birr 521.5 million in paid-up capital. After a three-year establishment process, the bank met all regulatory requirements and obtained its license from the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) on July 28, 2021.
Position 1: Compliance Officer
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; at least 3 years of experience in risk and/or compliance activities.
- Location: Head Office
Position 2: Senior Brand and Promotion Officer
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management, Economics, Management, or a related business field; at least 4 years of relevant experience. Certification in Digital Marketing and Creative Designing is highly preferred.
