Dodai is rapidly growing with a mission to make e-mobility accessible throughout Africa by offering innovative products and services. The company aims to assemble new electric two-wheelers locally in Addis Ababa, with plans to expand operations to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2024. To support this goal, Dodai is seeking motivated Ethiopian talent to join its team.


Position 1: Logistics Intern

Position Purpose The Logistics Intern will support Dodai’s Procurement and Logistics team by coordinating daily transportation and distribution operations, ensuring efficient and timely deliveries. This position involves tracking shipments, updating logistics databases, and generating reports. The intern will also help identify process improvements, manage logistics documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist in streamlining operations to boost overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery of goods.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and transport companies for efficient goods transportation.
  • Track orders and update records for real-time status accuracy.
  • Maintain and update logistics databases for accessible and accurate information.
  • Generate and submit weekly/monthly logistics reports with key metrics like delivery times and costs.
  • Work with internal teams to synchronize logistics activities with production and distribution schedules.
  • Participate in additional projects to gain insights into supply chain and logistics functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong aptitude for math and computer proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.

Position 2: Junior Procurement Officer

Position Purpose The Junior Procurement Officer will aid Dodai’s Procurement and Logistics team by overseeing day-to-day purchasing functions, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. Responsibilities include handling purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining supplier relationships, and working closely with internal departments to meet procurement needs. Additionally, this role involves preparing procurement reports, analyzing market trends, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and supporting contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and process accurate purchase orders with correct specifications and quantities.
  • Track purchase orders through delivery, ensuring timely completion of each step.
  • Maintain positive supplier relationships, managing regular communications, including order confirmations and follow-ups.
  • Conduct market research on suppliers and industry trends to guide procurement decisions.
  • Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery records, verifying accuracy.
  • Coordinate with finance for prompt supplier payments.
  • Generate weekly and monthly procurement reports.
  • Keep organized records of purchases, supplier details, and pricing for easy reference and audit purposes.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability, and assist in negotiating favorable pricing and delivery terms.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with team needs and provide updates on order statuses.
