Habesha Cement Share Company (HCSC) is a registered cement producer in Ethiopia with its operational cement plant since its inauguration in mid-January 2017. The plant currently boasts a production capacity of 3,000 tons of clinker, translating to 1.2 million tons of cement annually at full operation.
Position 1: Foreign Sourcing Coordinator
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of foreign procurement practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate professional procurement processes adhering to HCSC’s procurement and financial guidelines.
- Ensure procurement activities aim for optimal value for money and service quality.
- Initiate and manage Request for Quotations (RFQ), Request for Proposals (RFP), and tender processes.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services meeting specified requirements.
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers, service providers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate departmental requests and provide regular updates.
- Conduct market surveys and maintain supplier databases.
- Coordinate with shipping and customs clearing agents for timely import processes.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Expedite outstanding purchase orders to meet delivery requirements.
- Foster relationships with external suppliers.
- Assist in resolving shipment-related discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position 2: Manager, Sales and Marketing
Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or related fields with eight years of experience, including four years in a managerial role. OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields with ten years of experience, including five years in a managerial role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee company-wide marketing, customer experience, sales, and distribution strategies.
- Analyze customer expectations, behaviors, and needs for effective segmentation.
- Ensure consistent branding, customer communication, and customer experience initiatives.
- Develop and review pricing policies for products.
- Lead relationship strategies, including sales and retention.
- Develop strategies for entering new geographic markets.
- Design distribution strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to explore and develop sales opportunities.
- Foster internal collaboration to achieve business goals.
- Implement logistics and fleet strategies aligned with company goals.
- Monitor strategic performance of the function.
