The U.S. Mission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

Position 1. Public Engagement Specialist (Emerging Voices)

Option 1:

• Education: A university degree in communications, education, international affairs, American or intercultural studies, marketing, or a related field is required.
• Experience: At least four years of experience in communications, public engagement management, or education/training, with at least one year of supervisory experience. Previous experience in an international, academic, or governmental environment is required.

Option 2:

• Education: Two years of university-level education in any field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of six years of experience in communications, public engagement management, or education/training, including at least one year of supervisory experience. Previous experience in an international, academic, or governmental environment is required.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Amharic (both written and spoken) is required and will be tested.
• Salary: USD $21,803 per year
• Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Position 2. Custodian

• Education: Completion of primary school is required.
• Experience: At least six months of custodial or housekeeping experience is required.
• Language Skills: Level II proficiency in Amharic and Level I proficiency in English (both reading, speaking, and writing) are required and will be tested.
• Salary: USD $3,415 per year
• Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

• Education: Completion of primary school is required.
• Experience: At least two years of gardening experience is required.
• Language Skills: Rudimentary knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking) and limited knowledge of Amharic (reading, writing, speaking) are required and will be tested.
