The rebar manufacturing facility addresses the growing demand for quality steel in the local construction sector, boasting an initial capacity of 120,000 – 150,000 metric tons annually.
Presently, the company seeks qualified individuals for various positions within its manufacturing plant:
Position 1: Senior Mechanic
Job Summary: Oversees all mechanical maintenance activities, addresses complex mechanical issues, guides and trains subordinates, and reports on maintenance performance. Additionally, responsible for installing new machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance unit activities.
- Conducts disassembly, repair, and assembly of equipment with precision.
- Mentors and assists subordinate workers.
- Installs new machinery and equipment.
- Collaborates with superiors for complex assignments.
- Ensures compliance with standards and specifications.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with four years of experience, or a certificate in General Mechanics with six years of experience.
- Proficient in mechanical maintenance principles and procedures.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Amharic or Afan Oromo.
Position 2: Mold Operator
Job Summary: Responsible for setting molds for production, ensuring materials readiness, and adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and cleans molds regularly.
- Sets molds for production with care.
- Ensures material readiness for production.
- Monitors production process to minimize waste.
- Assists in maintenance activities.
- Adheres to safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Metal Technology or General Mechanics with four years of experience, or a certificate with six years of experience.
- Proficient in safety regulations and mold preparation.
- Fluent in English and Amharic or Afan Oromo.
Position 3: Electrician
Job Summary: Undertakes repair and installation of electrical equipment, inspects electrical systems, and participates in maintenance work.
Responsibilities:
- Executes electrical repairs and installations.
- Inspects electrical systems for irregularities.
- Reports abnormalities for preventive maintenance.
- Assists in maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering with two years of experience, or a certificate in electricity with six years of experience.
- Proficient in electrical maintenance principles.
- Fluent in English and Amharic or Afan Oromo.
Position 4: Senior Electrician
Job Summary: Directs electrical maintenance activities, oversees complex repairs, and prepares performance reports.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises electrical maintenance unit activities.
- Plans and executes maintenance schedules.
- Ensures proper distribution of electrical power.
- Conducts precise repairs and installations.
Requirements:
- BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering with four years of experience, or a diploma with six years of experience.
- Proficient in electrical maintenance principles.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Amharic or Afan Oromo.
Position 5: RM Quality Control
Job Summary: Ensures quality standards of finished products, manages quality assurance activities, and maintains product integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors quality from production to dispatch.
- Inspects rebar quality thoroughly.
- Ensures compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certificate in metallurgy with four or six years of experience respectively.
- Fluent in English and Amharic or Afan Oromo.
