Position :Zonal Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement community-based strategies for TB case finding, contact investigation, screening, and TB treatment adherence, including preventive therapy (TPT).
Establish and nurture effective relationships with diverse stakeholders in the Zone, including the REACH Ethiopia Regional team.
Assist in building the capacity of Woreda TB Officers for Community-Based TB Control (CBTBC) implementation at the Woreda level, collaborating with the Zonal health department, coaching, mentoring, and promoting the use of project management techniques.
Manage communications through various channels, such as media relations and social media, where feasible and appropriate.
Keep the Zonal Health Department and Woreda TB Officers informed about relevant project information, ensuring correct technology usage for operations.
Ensure compliance with project policies and procedures for maximum efficiency.
Prepare reports on project operations, analyze and evaluate effectiveness, and develop new methods for greater success.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address key issues and priorities aligned with USAID Eliminate TB project objectives.
Develop actionable plans to address prevailing situations.
Share implementation experiences and document key lessons learned from REACH Ethiopia, MSH, ETBE, and Woredas with Gedeo Zone.
Knowledge Management:

Identify opportunities for cross-cutting collaboration with the Zonal Health Department (ZHD) and relevant partners.
Enhance and deepen TB technical knowledge within the technical team and share actively with Zonal and Woreda TB Officers and partners.
Maintain personal in-depth knowledge of TB control areas and effectively manage evolving developments related to TB.
Job Requirements:

Master’s degree in Public Health or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in TB control, including three years in a senior advisory/supervisory/coordination role.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in TB control, including five years in an advisory/supervisory/coordination role.
Proven experience in health program management for at least three years.
Previous experience in Community TB programs, specifically with the Health Extension Program (HEP) and volunteers.
Previous experience in capacity building and mentorship for Zonal Health Department/DPCD/TB Officers/Woreda TB Officers in Southern Ethiopia.
Demonstrated stakeholder capacity-building skills, including facilitation, presentation, communication, and monitoring the impact of capacity-building interventions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Amharic, and at least one local language of the region.
Engagement in developing skills and employing collaborative learning approaches.
Strong team player with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
Past experience with USAID projects is advantageous.
Past experience in TB program management at regional and Zonal levels, along with knowledge of local dynamics, is a plus.
Willingness to be located in Gedeo Zone/Dilla with frequent communication to Woredas using different channels.
