Positive Action for Development (PAD) is an indigenous Ethiopian Civil Society Organization committed to fostering hope and dignity within communities. We are currently seeking a General Service Assistant to join our team in Addis Ababa.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Logistic, Fleet & Asset Management Officer, the General Service Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting day-to-day general service operations, including office supplies, fleet management, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Overseeing maintenance activities for office utilities and equipment to minimize disruptions.
  • Assisting with transport, receiving, warehousing, and property management tasks.
  • Operating various equipment for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Supervising expat residence areas and ensuring compliance with company regulations.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and functionality of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Handling routine maintenance and repair tasks, coordinating larger projects as needed.
  • Ensuring staff in drivers, kitchen, and security roles present themselves professionally.
  • Managing utility payments and ensuring timely maintenance of organization assets.
  • Safeguarding organization properties against intrusion and maintaining security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Office Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Up to two years of experience in office administration or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic office equipment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is preferred.
