Position: Senior Accountant
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum of 6 years in professional accounting roles
Location: Addis Ababa

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant with a strong background in monthly closing processes, forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills and approach problem-solving with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate reporting of business transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Assist in the annual audit process, including drafting financial statements and related notes.
Examine and evaluate deviations in expenditures to provide insights for company leadership.
Oversee the inspection and counting of all imported items upon arrival at the warehouse.
Ensure timely transfer of imported items to the storekeeper in compliance with reception protocols.
Supervise the storekeeper in preparing Goods Receipt Note (GRN) for in-house items and Store Issue Voucher (SIV) for out-house items.
Verify the accurate recording of all imported items in both warehouse and accounting systems.
Reconcile inventories between the warehouse system and accounting system monthly, taking immediate corrective action for any discrepancies.
Perform annual physical counts for all inventory items in coordination with internal and external auditors, commencing on the initial day of the subsequent budget year. Work alongside team members to streamline the month-end closing procedures. Address and resolve issues ranging from routine to intricate problems associated with daily operations.
