Operational activities commenced on February 9, 2009. Founded by 540 initial shareholders, the company had an initial paid-up capital of Birr 26 million and a subscribed capital of Birr 85 million. By the end of the 2016/17 fiscal year, the number of shareholders had increased to 840, and the paid-up capital had undergone changes.
