Nib Insurance Company (NIC) was founded on May 2, 2002, by 658 shareholders with a certified capital of Birr 50.0 million and a Paid-Up Capital of Birr 14.0 million. Initially, it operated with four branches in Addis Ababa and a staff size not exceeding 50.
Since then, the company has seen significant growth, with the paid-up capital now standing at Birr 250 million and the number of shareholders increasing to 1,014. NIC offers both General (Non-Life) Insurance and Life Assurance Services to its clientele.
NIC conducts its operations through its Head Office, 42 branches, and 1 Contact Office (for General Insurance), along with a dedicated Life Assurance department. Twenty-Seven of these branches are situated in Addis Ababa. Currently, the company employs 416 individuals.
Below are the available job positions
Position 1: Auditor II
Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Management, or related fields
Experience: Minimum of four years relevant experience, with at least two years in Auditor I or a similar position
Grade: IX
Place of Work: Head Office, Addis Ababa
Position 2: Senior Auditor
Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Management, or related fields
Experience: Minimum of six years relevant experience, with at least two years in Auditor II or a similar position
Grade: IX
Place of Work: Head Office, Addis Ababa
Senior Database and Web Page Administrator
Education: B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, preferably with additional training/certification in Oracle and Linux
Experience: Minimum of six years relevant experience, ideally in Oracle Database, Linux environment, and ERP software
Grade: IX
