NIC was founded on May 2, 2002, by 658 shareholders with a certified capital of Birr 50.0 million and a Paid-Up Capital of Birr 140 million. Initially, it operated with four branches in Addis Ababa and a staff size of no more than 50. As of now, the paid-up capital has increased to Birr 250 million, and the shareholder count has risen to 1,014.
The company conducts its business through its Head Office, 42 branches, and 1 Contact Office (for General Insurance), as well as 1 Life Assurance department. Twenty-Seven branches are situated in Addis Ababa. The current staff count for NIC has reached 416.

Requirements:
Education: BA/Bac Degree in Banking and Insurance, Management, Accounting and Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields. Applicants must be graduates of 2022/23 GC or 2015 EC and have passed the exit exam.

Requirements:
Education requirement: Diploma or Level IV with Certificate of Competency (COC) in Secretarial Science and Office Management, Administration of Office and Secretarial Technology, Accounts and Budget Service, Secretarial Science, Customer Contact and Secretarial Operations, or Secretarial Technology.
Work Experience: Not required, but one year of experience is encouraged.
