Position 1: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer

Knowledge and Experience:

  • BA/S or equivalent, preferably in business administration, statistics, economics, public administration, or international development.
  • 2-4 years of M&E experience.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Amharic.
  • Previous experience working on USAID/NGO-funded programs preferred.
  • Relevant experience in field survey/data collection techniques, data entry, data verification, and analysis.
  • Good understanding and skills in data management.
  • Strong computer literacy, with a thorough knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Strong team coordination, listening, and consensus-building skills.

  • Capacity to spark innovative programming approaches and inspire collaboration to implement high-quality programs.

Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions:

  • Based in Gambella, Ethiopia, with up to 40% travel to field offices.

Position 2: Nutrition and Social Behavior Change and Communication (SBCC) Specialist

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in nutrition, agriculture, or a related international development field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in nutrition and/or food security program development.
  • Extensive knowledge of programmatic approaches and models used in development nutrition and SBCC.
  • Experience in both nutrition-sensitive agriculture and specific activities.
  • Experience in setting up, supervising, and supporting established nutrition groups at the woreda and kebele levels.
  • Solid research background and good writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical specialists.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the Gambella region of Ethiopia.
  • Experience with the development, implementation, and compliance of donor-funded programs.
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively with team members of varied work styles.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in planning and problem-solving.
  • Experience working with host governments, national, and international NGOs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Internationally recognized qualification in project or program management or a commitment to obtain the qualification in the early months of work.
  • Willingness to provide extensive support to field officers in 9 operational woredas.
