Position 1: Temporary Monitoring Evaluation Research Learning (MERL) Advisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or Master’s Degree (MA/MSc preferred) in social sciences, statistics, economics, marketing, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in results measurement and management, with familiarity in DCED results measurement and audit preferred.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies, data analysis, and data management.
  • Track record of working in NGOs, public and private sector development, with specific experience in urban programs, labor market systems, and initiatives for youth and women’s economic empowerment.
  • Expertise in Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P), Market System Development, and private sector engagement is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in practical monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, or database management.

Position 2: Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Development Studies, Program Management, or related Social Science fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management and coordination, preferably in financial inclusion, digital financial services (DFS), product & strategy development, Islamic finance, financial literacy programs, and community awareness campaigns.
  • Previous engagement in the financial sector and international development organizations is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with market systems, including key actors, micro-financial institutions (MFIs), banks, and understanding of Markets Systems Development (MSD) approach.
  • Knowledge of Village Saving and Loan Association (VSLA) methodology and practices is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including to insecure environments, is essential.

Position 3: Community Mobilizers

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in health-related fields, social sciences, or community development.
  • Over 3 years of experience working with NGOs, particularly in community mobilization and health promotion.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with diverse ethnic groups in remote areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in English and local languages required.
  • Willingness to frequently travel and reside in rural areas, along with adaptability to challenging conditions.
  • Commitment to teamwork and gender equality.

Position 4: Agriculture Officer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in General Agriculture, plant science, Crop production, Rural Development, or related subjects.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private sector and/or NGOs focusing on MSD, agribusiness, and financial services.
  • Understanding of Markets4Poor approach and facilitation of market development, including coaching, relationship building, and entrepreneurialism.
  • Experience supporting private sector enterprises in pastoral/agro-pastoral settings, providing business development support, and engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in participatory analyses, action, and results processing.
  • Familiarity with Sphere standards and humanitarian response training preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with knowledge of local languages being advantageous.
