Position 1: Protection Officer Response

Job Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Gender Studies, or any other field related to Social Sciences.

Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

At least 3 years of experience in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Gender-related humanitarian and development programming, with a preference for experience in remote areas.

Clear understanding of gender dynamics, power abuse, and issues related to violence against women.

Ability to adhere to GBV and protection principles consistently.

Previous experience with NGOs is an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to lead, train, supervise, facilitate, and motivate other field workers in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner.

Positive and professional attitude, capable of organizing, maintaining composure, and prioritizing work under pressure.

Effective teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Office on standard or mobile platforms.

Fluency in English, with knowledge of local languages as an advantage.

Commitment to human rights and gender equality.

Position 2: Finance Officer

Job Requirements:

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Accounting); a Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage.

2 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting for diploma holders or 1 year for bachelor’s degree holders.

Basic knowledge of non-profit accounting and payroll.

Desired: Familiarity with ERP systems and computerized accounting software (Sage, Unit4, etc.).

Skills:

Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft programs, including Teams.

Capacity to clarify financial processes to individuals without a finance background.

Proficient in maintaining payroll data for monthly payments.

Strong written and spoken English with effective interpersonal skills.

Abilities:

Maintaining detailed records with high accuracy.

Highly organized with good quantitative ability.

Prioritization of tasks to manage competing demands.

Acting with integrity and maintaining ethical standards.

Maintaining confidentiality of highly sensitive information.

Supporting Medical Teams International’s mission and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
