Lawyers for Human Rights (LHR) is a civil society organization in Ethiopia, officially recognized by the FDRE Civil Societies Organizations Agency through Proclamation No. 1113/2019. The establishment of LHR was driven by like-minded lawyers who share a passion for enhancing the protection of human rights in Ethiopia. This initiative was inspired by the accomplishments of the Ameha Mekonnen & Associates Law Office (AMALO) in advocating for human rights. LHR aims to empower lawyers and human rights activists by providing them with knowledge and skills, elevating their involvement in the promotion and safeguarding of human rights, supporting vulnerable groups, and addressing human rights violations through strategic litigation. Its membership is open to practicing lawyers across the country who are willing to dedicate themselves to this noble cause.
Position 1 – Cashier
- Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Management, or a related field of study.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in finance, including handling cash and related responsibilities.
- Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2 – Project Accountant
- Education: A Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or another relevant subject.
- Experience: At least four years of overall experience, with a minimum of two years in project-related roles.
- Location: Addis Ababa

Position 3 – Project Officer
- Education: A first degree or master’s in law or another related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in project management or project officer positions for a minimum of two years, specifically in projects related to human rights advocacy.
