Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C., formerly known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC, is a privately-owned enterprise based in Addis Ababa, situated within the Akaki Kality Industrial Zone. The company’s roots trace back to the late 1960s, when it began as a small automotive parts dealership on a busy street in Addis Ababa. By 1975, it had become the exclusive distributor for Sadoline Paints. In 1979, Kadisco was officially registered as the sole manufacturer of adhesives and glue. Over time, it evolved into a diversified paint manufacturer.
In February 2015, Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C. entered into a joint venture with Asian Paints Ltd, resulting in the formation of Kadisco Asian Paints. Asian Paints, a leading paint company in India and the second-largest in Asia, boasts a group turnover of USD 2.7 billion. With operations in 19 countries and 26 manufacturing facilities worldwide, Asian Paints is renowned for its professionalism, rapid growth, and strong shareholder equity.
Today, Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C. offers a comprehensive range of paints for the construction, industrial, and automotive sectors. The company also manufactures wood and concrete lacquers, as well as adhesives for the wood and leather industries.
Position: Color Consultant
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated experience in color consulting or a related field; experience in interior design and marketing is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent knowledge of color theory.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with various industries and brands.
- Solid understanding of branding and marketing principles.
- Capability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment, both remotely and in-person.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of color theory and palettes.
- Expertise in color matching techniques.
- Familiarity with design and simulation software.
