JR Petroleum PLC specializes in the sale and marketing of petroleum and related products. With over 42 active stations nationwide, JR Petroleum is expanding with the construction of the largest Aviation Depot in the country at Bole Addis Ababa Airport. This depot will supply Jet fuel to Ethiopian Airlines and is anticipated to become operational within a few months. Our office is located around Capital Hotel & Chaka Buna.
Position 1: Lubricant Sales Representative
Purpose: The primary role is to develop, support, and manage JR Lubricants’ distributor network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee lubricant sales through distributor channels.
- Collect trade receivables from the distributor sector.
- Regularly visit customer sites to provide on-site sales and technical support.
- Collaborate with the Retail Manager and Commercial Manager to prepare and monitor sales plans.
- Conduct competitive price analysis to inform pricing strategies.
- Assist in the planning and execution of new product launches within the lubricant distributor sector.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives with the Retail Manager and Commercial Manager.
- Perform market intelligence, including surveys of consumers, dealers, and competitors.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Engineering.
Experience:
- Strong technical background with at least 1 year of experience.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Experience with oil companies is highly desirable.

Position 2: Import Officer
Purpose: The role focuses on managing all import processes for JR Petroleum PLC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of import procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Ethiopian Customs rules and procedures.
- Prepare import documents and licenses per invoice.
- Handle import and customs documentation.
- Communicate with shipping and forwarding agents for clearance.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and supplier claims.
- Manage courier-related tasks (e.g., DHL) for imports.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related Business field.
Experience:
- Strong technical background with 2 years of experience.
- Experience in the oil industry is a plus.
