Overview: USAID partners with organizations to address urgent humanitarian needs caused by conflict and climate-related events such as droughts and floods across Ethiopia.
Position: Climate and Natural Resource Management (CNRM) Advisor
Role Description: The CNRM Advisor, part of the Economic Growth and Resilience (EGR) Office, serves as the Mission’s lead on climate issues, providing technical direction and policy advice. Reporting to the Sustainable Environment Division Chief and the Economic Growth and Resilience Office Chief, the advisor supports policies advancing the objectives of both the US Government (USG) and the Government of Ethiopia (GoE), particularly in promoting technical applications and enabling environments for climate and natural resource investments.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, natural resource management, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable finance, low carbon development, or a related discipline.
- Work Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in international development and/or international business is required.
Compensation:
- Market Value: $88,520 to $115,079, equivalent to GS-13. Final salary will be negotiated within this range based on the candidate’s salary history, work experience, and educational background. Salaries above the top of the pay range will not be considered or negotiated.
