Oromia Insurance S.C. is seeking certified and competent candidates for the following job position:
Established and licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia on January 26, 2009, Oromia Insurance S.C. (OIC) is engaged in the entire insurance coverage business. The company commenced its operations on February 9, 2009, with a strong financial foundation. Initially established by 540 founding shareholders, the company had a paid-up capital of Birr 26 million and a subscribed capital of Birr 85 million. By the end of the 2016/17 fiscal year, the number of shareholders had increased to 840, reflecting a robust financial capacity. Notably, OIC stands out as the first of its kind to mobilize such a significant amount of paid-up capital in the country’s insurance industry.
Furthermore, the diversity of its shareholders underscores the company’s strong social base, including 1,600,000 low-income farmers through their farmers’ cooperative unions. OIC has formulated a mission tailored to address the specific needs of its customers and has developed reliable and continually improving strategic plans to ensure the realization of its vision.
Position: CROP INSURANCE OFFICER
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Plant Science, Agro Engineering, or a related field from a recognized higher learning institution.
Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience
Work Place: Head Office
