Position: Agronomist
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related fields.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience for BSc holders.
- No experience required for MSc holders.

Job Purpose: The Agronomist will be responsible for researching, planning, and implementing farming techniques to improve crop yields.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques to enhance crop yield and solve agricultural issues.
- Create planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Research and promote strategies to mitigate the effects of soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.
- Assess farm crop production and improve seed quality.
- Conduct laboratory tests on soil, seed, and crop samples.
- Ensure quality control for seeds and soil standards.
- Visit fields to collect samples for analysis.
- Test samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other issues.
- Conduct soil analyses and develop nutrient management plans.
- Recommend and oversee the application of fertilizers and soil conditioners.
- Assist with plant sourcing, testing, and selection.
- Maintain detailed records of fields, customers, crops, and samples.
- Generate reports and present findings to management and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
