Operating in all regions of Ethiopia, JSI’s projects primarily target the four most populous regions, encompassing both urban and rural areas. Position: Community Engagement Specialist
Education:
- Master’s degree in health fields, Social Science, or related field with training and/or experience in community engagement and empowerment.
Experience:
- Over five years of demonstrated technical and programmatic experience in community engagement and empowerment.
- Familiarity and proven experience with the Ethiopian Primary Health Care system, including the Community Health Program and community engagement.
- Proven experience in providing technical support and capacity building.
- Community-level experience in facilitating trainings and workshops is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in the capacity development of NSAs/CSOs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Ability to promote teamwork and collaborative efforts.
- Experience working with local governments, civil society organizations, and senior-level government officials is desired.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills are required; fluency in a local language is an advantage.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
