Position: IELTS Speaking Examiners
Requirements:
- An undergraduate or Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree*.
- A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or an equivalent qualification as part of a recognised university course.
- At least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) relevant TESOL teaching experience, with a minimum of one year post-certificate level qualification. Most of this teaching experience should involve adult students (16 years and older)**.
Responsibilities: Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting and marking IELTS Speaking tests.
- Ensuring certification is current and attending necessary training, standardisation, and certification sessions.
- Administering other IELTS and British Council exams as needed, depending on certification.
- Adhering to the IELTS Professional Support Network and British Council policies.
- Participating in Examiner meetings and other relevant sessions.
- Incorporating Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) policies in planning and activities.
- Managing information in compliance with the British Council’s information management standards, policies, UK data protection principles, and local legislation.
- Completing required British Council training, including Child Protection and Health and Safety, and applying these principles in your duties.
- Maintaining professionalism, organization, and preparation, and dressing according to local expectations.
- Staying updated on developments in IELTS.
