Position: Branch Manager Grade – I
Qualification:
- BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience:
- 7 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, including at least 1 year as an Assistant Branch Manager/CSM or Relationship Manager, or
- 7 years of relevant banking experience with at least 2 years as a Senior Officer in banking operations.
Job Purpose: To drive sustainable growth and profitability by cross-selling the bank’s products and services, acquiring and retaining customers, enhancing customer service, and fostering strong customer relationships. The role involves managing overall retail banking operations at the assigned branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Generic Functions:
- Prepare and review branch work plans and budgets, and monitor their execution.
- Uphold the bank’s corporate culture and image.
- Demonstrate and enforce the bank’s code of conduct and manage disciplinary issues.
- Ensure services are delivered as per the service level agreement, and oversee subordinates to do the same.
- Contribute to the bank’s profitability according to targets set.
- Mentor and coach subordinates for effective career development.
Specific Functions:
- Lead and organize resource mobilization activities at the branch.
- Ensure the branch’s books of accounts are balanced, review Income & Expense Summary Accounts, and strictly monitor controllable expenses.
- Authorize transactions promptly and ensure end-of-business processes are completed on time.
