Deborah Foundation is a registered non-profit organization established in 2019, dedicated to improving the lives of children with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. The Foundation focuses on health, education, and policy advocacy to support these children and their families.

Position: Physiotherapist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
  • Valid physiotherapy license
  • Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental and motor disorders related to intellectual disabilities
  • Familiarity with evidence-based physiotherapy interventions and techniques for children with intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with children and families in a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy, patience, and a deep passion for supporting children with intellectual disabilities
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Amharic and English
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research and best practices

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic computer skills
  • Fluency in English
  • In-depth understanding of the role and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Patient, resilient, and dedicated personality

Personal Attributes:

  • Team player with strong punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage and organize data
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision

Salary and Benefits:

  • Net salary: 17,000 ETB
