We are seeking a full-time Junior Designer (Business Designer) to join our Ethiopia studio.

Qualifications:
- Strong written and spoken fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Excellent field research and writing skills.
- Strong coordination and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Who are we looking for? We seek Business Designers who exhibit personal leadership, embrace learning from others, and proactively pursue self-development in areas of interest.
As a Business Designer, you will:
- Collaborate closely with project leads and strategic designers, working in small teams and independently on various tasks.
- Conduct fieldwork under the supervision of Strategic Designers, often in rural areas, including design research, prototyping new products/services, and supporting strategic design activities.
- Seek support, guidance, and resources to complete deliverables on time, maintaining high standards.
- Coach and develop others, fostering a learning-by-doing culture through teamwork, and providing growth and skill transfer opportunities to ensure continuity and sustainability.
- Contribute to the studio’s culture and growth by participating in internal projects aimed at improving our processes and practices.
- Ensure exceptional execution of current work and embrace a culture of excellence in all deliverables.
What will you be doing? Working closely with the Project Lead and Strategic Designers, you will:
- Prepare and plan for immersive research activities, including designing innovative research methods, inquiry lines, and field plans.
- Prepare and plan for prototyping activities, including facilitating ideation workshops, developing concepts, and building and testing prototypes.
- Support behavioral and user research initiatives, constantly engaging with teams and communities to design optimal user experiences.
- Participate in analyzing and communicating research results to key stakeholders.
- Generate tactical and strategic insights and actionable recommendations from conducted research.
- Document and prepare reports following key project activities.
- Participate in weekly and monthly planning and reporting meetings.
