Habesha Breweries S.C. is on the lookout for a meticulous and proactive Finance Specialist – Compliance and Controls to become a part of our finance team. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the precise and timely payment of taxes, overseeing tax audits, and maintaining effective relations with the Tax Authority.
Your responsibilities will include staying informed about new tax regulations, ensuring their accurate implementation within the company, and providing essential support to raise awareness about tax compliance across different departments.
Position: Finance Specialist – Compliance and Controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in tax compliance, tax audits, and financial controls.
- In-depth knowledge of local tax regulations and laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee the accurate and timely payment of all taxes.
- Reconcile tax accounts with tax declarations monthly.
- Keep up-to-date with and implement new tax laws promptly, ensuring compliance.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with tax consultants and the Tax Authority.
- Oversee tax audits, offering necessary explanations, analysis, and documentation to reduce tax liabilities.
- Securely archive all tax-related documents in both physical and digital formats.
- Prepare monthly forecasts for various tax categories, including Excise, VAT, WHT, and payroll taxes.
