Aggar Micro Finance S.C. is the first commercial private microfinance institution established under Proclamation No. 40/96, which has since been updated by Proclamation No. 626/2009. Our mission is to serve the “missing middle” by providing credit and savings services in both urban and rural areas across the country. Founded by 443 shareholders with an initial capital of Birr 4,243,600.00, Aggar has since expanded to over 750 shareholders, with paid-up capital exceeding 200 million and total assets over 410 million.

We are currently seeking qualified professionals for the following positions:

Position 1: Auditor

Minimum Qualification: BA/College Diploma in Accounting or related field
Experience: 2–6 years in a financial institution
Skills Required:

  • Solid understanding of microfinance operations
  • Knowledge of auditing methodologies
  • Familiarity with company operations
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Basic computer skills
    Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Branch Manager I

Minimum Qualification: BA Degree/College Diploma in Marketing, Management, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Experience: 5–8 years in relevant roles, including 2 years as a senior Credit & Loan Officer
Skills Required:

  • Deep knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Basic understanding of KYC principles
  • Insight into branch operations and microfinance products
  • Financial management and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
    Location: Addis Ababa & Outlying Areas

Position 3: Senior Auditor

Minimum Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting/Management or related field
Experience: 4 years in a financial institution
Skills Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting principles
  • Understanding of financial laws and audit regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial statements
  • Familiarity with microfinance operations
    Location: Addis Ababa

Position 4: Manager, Accounts & Finance

Minimum Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting
Experience: 4–6 years in relevant roles, with 2 years in senior positions
Skills Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles
  • Financial report preparation and analysis skills
  • Budget development and management expertise
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance

Position 5: Director, Strategy Partnership & Business Development

Minimum Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Economics, Business Management, Marketing, or related field
Experience: 7–9 years in relevant roles, including 3 years at a managerial level in microfinance or financial institutions
Skills Required:

  • Broad understanding of the financial industry
  • Knowledge of planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans
    Location: Addis Ababa (Head Office)

Position 6: Director, Credit Management

Minimum Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Experience: 7–9 years in relevant roles, including 3 years at a managerial level in microfinance or financial institutions
Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in cross-functional project management
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with financial statements and credit risk management
    Location: Addis Ababa (Head Office)

Position 7: Chief Corporate Service Officer

Minimum Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or related field
Experience: 8–10 years in relevant roles, with 4 years in a managerial position at banks or financial institutions
Skills Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of financial industry operations
  • Skills in recruitment and performance management
  • Ability to develop IT strategies aligned with business objectives
    Location: Addis Ababa (Head Office)
