The newly established Heineken brewery is situated in Kilinto, within the Addis Ababa municipality, making it the largest brewery in Ethiopia. With a production capacity of up to 1.5 million hectoliters, it will manufacture renowned brands such as Walia®, Harar®, and Bedele®, with plans to introduce the Heineken® beer brand shortly.

Position: Mechanical Technician

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.

Advanced diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

TVET Level V certification in General Mechanics, Metal Technology, and Machine Technology.

Experience:

2 to 5 years of experience in operations, specifically in the packaging domain, in a technician role.

Language Skills:

Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in using MS Office applications.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all technical tasks are conducted safely.

Execute inspection work orders and document them in the maintenance control system.

Perform all mechanical corrective and planned maintenance activities.

Report safety and technical issues promptly in designated systems.

Maintain workplace organization, documentation, and toolboxes according to 5S standards.

Analyze breakdowns and implement necessary countermeasures.

Provide technical support and training to operators.

Participate in technical improvement initiatives and propose enhancements.

Conduct zone tours, identify abnormalities, tag them, and ensure timely resolution.

Undertake additional tasks essential for business operations as assigned by the supervisor.

Location: Factory site, Kilinto, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
