Health Poverty Action (HPA), registered as Health Limited, is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering global equality in health. With a focus on social justice, HPA has amassed over 37 years of experience in Africa, operating in Ethiopia since 2005. HPA has successfully executed numerous humanitarian and developmental initiatives across various regions, including Afar, Addis Ababa, Amhara, Benshangul-Gumuz, Oromia, SNNPR, and Somali regions. These initiatives primarily target underserved communities, addressing issues such as maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, communicable disease prevention, malnutrition, and gender-based violence (GBV).

Position 1: HR and Admin Officer

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, or related fields with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting.

Location: Addis Ababa

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, and overseeing the recruitment process.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures.
  • Providing guidance on HR policies.
  • Ensuring adherence to onboarding/offboarding protocols.
  • Updating stakeholders on recruitment status.
  • Facilitating procurement and logistics activities.
  • Monitoring and reporting on staff changes.
  • Managing annual leave records.
  • Assisting with financial tasks.
  • Supporting new assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health or related field with 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in research project management.

  • Organizing team meetings and coordinating external visits.
  • Establishing networks with relevant stakeholders.
