Ethiopost, Ethiopia’s primary postal service provider with a network of over 600 branches nationwide, is embarking on a new vision to become a global leader in postal services and a preferred partner in logistics, financial, and government services.

As a state-owned enterprise (SOE), Ethiopost is responsible for establishing and expanding postal services throughout the country, serving as the designated postal operator (DPO) to meet the government’s universal service obligation (USO). Despite disruptions from digitization and the recent challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ethiopost has adapted its operations and diversified into new ventures such as financial services, transportation, and retail while maintaining its core business of delivering mail and parcels.

Ethiopost is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Position 1: Senior International Relations and Partnership Officer

Requirements:

  • Title: Senior Officer for International Relations and Partnerships Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, or Law
  • At least 2 years of experience in international relations or relevant domains
  • Strong communication abilities and adeptness in networking and relationship building
  • Proficient in English; familiarity with additional languages is a plus
  • Training in international relations is a plus

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive international relations and partnership strategies aligned with the company’s goals
  • Providing support to departments, districts, and staff regarding international relations and partnerships
  • Collecting and preparing reports on international relations and cooperation

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Litigation Officer

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized university
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience for degree holders or 4 years of experience for diploma holders, with a Law degree or a College Diploma + TVET Level IV in Law
  • Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Ability to identify legal risks and provide proactive solutions
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term plans to achieve operational goals

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying potential legal risks and providing proactive solutions
  • Developing and implementing best practices to minimize the company’s exposure to litigation
