Position 1: Cashier

Job Specification:

Responsibilities:

  • Deposit collections in the bank and withdraw cash against written orders.
  • Pay out cash against written orders and obtain receipts.
  • Keep records of amounts received and paid, and reconcile cash balance with records.
  • Encode transaction data in a cash register machine according to regulatory requirements.
  • Check cash balance against transactions at the end of the day.
  • Sort banknotes and denominations to avoid errors and facilitate disbursement.
  • Count and record cash at the beginning and end of each duty period, and prepare reconciliation statements.
  • Verify cash held against records.
  • Effect authorized payments after checking for fulfillment of approval procedures by authorized officials.
  • Ensure the safe custody of cash and proper use of working equipment like adding machines and cash registers.
  • Pay salaries, per diem, and advances to employees based on approved documents, or facilitate such payments through bank accounts as per the Society’s payment modality.
  • Cross-reference bank deposit slips or checks deposits with cash receipts/cash sales invoices.
  • Sort and arrange receipt and payment documents, and distribute copies to complete internal control procedures.
  • Check the correctness of daily cash collection, deposit reports, and attached receipts.
  • Manage petty cash, summarize all petty cash payments, and replenish as required.
  • Stamp payment documents appropriately.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administration and Finance Head.

Position 2: Senior Planning and Monitoring Expert

Job Specification:

  • Education: Second/First Degree in Economics, Management, Statistics, Development Studies, Regional, and Local Development Studies

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of the branch.
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of Standard Operations Procedures and operational guidelines for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning.
  • Adapt and contextualize initiatives to ensure program/project quality, including Community Engagement & Accountability (CEA) throughout the program/project cycle.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and organize the regional branch’s Annual Operational Plan (AOP).
  • Lead, coordinate, and provide technical support for AOP preparation for regional branches and zonal branches.
  • Ensure the quality and integration of AOPs prepared by regional branches and zonal branches.
  • Compile the Annual Operational Plan, consolidated budget, and periodic reports of the NS in collaboration with branch work units.
  • Monitor and participate in joint and internal evaluations of programs and projects.
  • Ensure Project Field Monitoring TORs align with their respective Project Monitoring and Evaluation plans and harmonized data collection tools.
  • Collect, document, and incorporate key issues from Project Field Monitoring Reports into NS Periodic reports.
  • Prepare a reporting timetable and ensure timely preparation and submission of reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate technical support for periodic report preparation for regional branches and zonal branches.
  • Organize periodic program review sessions and joint/field monitoring visits, prepare reports, and disseminate findings.
  • Coordinate relief items post-distribution monitoring for distributions conducted by the regional branch.
  • Organize learning forums, participate in community of practice and blogs to enhance organizational learning.
  • Utilize technological facilities developed by HQ for supporting planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
  • Integrate CEA into Regional Branch Plans and ensure community feedback is collected and documented for program/project satisfaction.
