Position 1: Senior Project II – Gender, Safeguarding And Youth Inclusiveness

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as gender studies, sociology, psychology, anthropology, socioeconomics, agricultural economics, agricultural extension, or rural development.
  • A minimum of 8 years (for Master’s degree holders) or 10 years (for Bachelor’s degree holders) of relevant experience in designing and implementing gender, safeguarding, and youth inclusive initiatives within the agricultural sector.
  • Profound understanding of gender equality and empowerment of women and youth in agriculture.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating projects or programs focused on women and youth empowerment.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills for report writing, developing training modules, and implementing guidelines.
  • Experience in conducting adult training sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for fostering stakeholder collaboration and partnerships.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and positivity in challenging situations, managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines.

Position 2: Senior Project Officer II – Livestock Value Chain

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Animal Science, Animal Production, or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in agricultural development projects, with a minimum of 4 years specifically focused on livestock development.
  • Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: fodder production and distribution, farming system analysis, soil fertility management, or apiculture.
  • Familiarity with the Ethiopian context, particularly within the Tigray Region.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Ethiopia’s agricultural sector and its operational dynamics involving public, private, and informal actors.
  • Strong ability to perform under pressure, build relationships, and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Adaptive problem-solving skills for challenging environments.
  • Proficiency in both oral and written English, as well as Amharic.
  • Sensitivity towards gender and environmental issues.

Position 3: Senior Project Officer II – Environment And Social Safeguarding

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sociology, or Development Studies.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Environment and Social aspects.
  • Proficiency in coordinating Environmental and Social risk management, adhering to World Bank standards.
  • Previous engagement with gender aspects, particularly the Gender Action Plan, is advantageous.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including dialogue facilitation with relevant public and private stakeholders.
  • Strong communication abilities with a collaborative working style.
  • Experience in multicultural team environments preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities.
  • Personal values emphasizing integrity, honesty, and service.

Position 4: Information Technology Director

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
  • At least 12 years of experience, with 6 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing high performance, teamwork, accountability, and results.
  • Competence in managing various IT disciplines, including network operations, software development, technical support, and system administration.
  • Experience overseeing mid-to-large scale projects and budgeting.
  • Skilled in managing both consultants and permanent staff.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
