Ethio-Life remained the exclusive entity specializing in the life insurance sector in the Ethiopian insurance industry until August 2012. Recognizing the significant potential and viability in the general insurance sector, Ethio-Life’s shareholders were determined to expand the company’s services by incorporating non-life (general) insurance products into its business portfolio.

Position 1: Cashier-Secretary

Qualification: Diploma/Level–IV in the Accounting field of study from a recognized University/College.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a business organization. Prior experience in insurance is preferred for both positions.

Additional competencies and skills required:

  • Solid knowledge of insurance concepts and practices
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methods
  • Basic understanding of core insurance business policies and procedures
  • Ability to collect and analyze relevant data
  • Fundamental knowledge of office management
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and cash management
  • Proficient in recording and managing activities
  • Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly
  • Good knowledge of basic computer applications
  • Dependable and a team player

Number of Vacancies: 3

Location: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Underwriting Officer-I

Qualification: BA/BSc/LLB Degree in Law, Management, Economics, Marketing Management, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field of study from a recognized University.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the immediate lower position. Experience in insurance is preferable for both job positions.
