Ethio Telecom has reached its current operational status as of November 29, 2010, as part of Ethiopia’s Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) for the period 2005/06 – 2009/10. This initiative arose from the federal government’s commitment to enhancing telecommunications services, recognizing their critical role in national development.

As a result, the telecommunications infrastructure and services in the country have undergone significant transformation, achieving world-class standards and facilitating substantial progress within the sector.

Position: Personal Assistant

(Trade Marketing and Brand Management)

Qualifications:
A college diploma, 10+3, Level III or IV in Customer Contact and Secretarial Operations, Customer Contact and Secretarial Operations Coordination, or Secretarial Science and Office Management, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as Administrative Assistant, Archives Clerk, Customer Profile Management Clerk, or Secretary.

Note: COC certification is preferred.

Professional Competencies:

  • Acts as the initial point of contact for individuals both within and outside the organization.
  • Screens phone calls, inquiries, and requests, addressing them when suitable.
  • Organizes and maintains diaries, schedules appointments, and performs various administrative tasks.
  • Arranges meetings, travel, and accommodation, streamlines office operations, and assists colleagues to enhance procedural efficiency.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and packages.

Transversal Competencies:

  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Effective listening abilities.
  • Communication skills including active listening, empathy, emotional intelligence, and clarity.
  • Problem-solving capabilities encompassing critical thinking, initiative, and adaptability.
  • Customer service skills involving service orientation, conflict resolution, patience, and flexibility.
  • Proficient in stress and time management, demonstrating professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork.
