Ethio Life and General Insurance S.C is seeking certified professionals to fill the following positions:
Position 1: Manager, Life Insurance Department
Requirements: BA/BSC Degree in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or related field from a recognized University, or ACII/LOMA certification. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the insurance industry, with at least three years in senior managerial roles.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all activities of the Life and Health insurance business.
- Provide advice and support on life assurance fund management and portfolio management.
- Monitor operational and financial activities of the Life and Health unit.
- Coordinate and direct sales, underwriting, and policy-owner services.
- Review and approve underwriting policies, endorsements, re-insurance, etc. Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Branch Manager-II
Requirements: BA/BSC Degree in Marketing, Management, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or related field from a recognized University. Experience: Minimum of seven years in insurance, with at least two years in senior positions or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve underwriting policies, endorsements, reinsurance, etc.
- Manage claims within the department and according to company policy.
- Conduct business development and marketing activities to attract new customers.
- Ensure accurate transaction records maintenance. Location: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Claims Officer-II
Requirements: BA/BSC degree in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or related field from a recognized University. Experience: Minimum of four years in insurance operations with a focus on claims handling.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the claim process from initiation to settlement.
- Assist customers in completing claim notification forms.
- Prepare policy request forms.
- Assist in premium collection while handling claims. Location: Addis Ababa
