Position: Senior Customer Sales & Service Agent


Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of GCSE or A Level standard, or equivalent education.
  • Experience in a contact center or reservations office within the airline or travel industry.
  • Familiarity with contact center processes and airline/travel industry practices.
  • Proficiency in Fares and Ticketing, Skywards, and relevant reservation systems.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications.
  • Fluency in additional languages is advantageous, particularly for contact centers handling multi-lingual calls.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial/sales role.

Job Purpose: The Senior Customer Sales & Service Agent will provide exceptional service by selling Emirates airline tickets and related services, assisting customers with travel arrangements, and supporting the Customer Service & Sales team. The role is crucial to achieving individual, station, and network-wide commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting with ticket sales, identifying customer needs, and promoting Emirates products and services.
  • Issue tickets, ensuring compliance with airline rules, regulations, and customer requirements. Advise customers on essential travel details such as passport, visa, and health requirements.
  • Enhance Emirates revenue by promoting various services like Skywards membership, Dubai stopovers, hotel bookings, and upgraded fares to meet sales targets.
  • Stay informed about Emirates Group updates to maintain professional standards.
  • Support travel agents with bookings, special fares, and ticketing requirements.
  • Handle complex queries, special services, and medical cases.
  • Step in for the Team Leader in their absence and act as a role model for the team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for handling complex bookings and challenging customer situations.
