India and Ethiopia share deep-rooted economic and industrial ties, dating back centuries and spanning over 2000 years of documented history. During the Axumite Kingdom, Indian merchants established connections with the ancient port of Adulis in eastern Ethiopia, engaging in trade of silk and spices for gold and ivory.

Position 1: Language Specialist

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized university, preferably with a degree in English language.
  • Exceptional proficiency in written and spoken English, along with fluency in Amharic. Familiarity with regional Ethiopian languages is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in computer and social media platforms.
  • Candidates with relevant prior experience will be given preference.
  • Maximum age limit: 40 years. Responsibilities:
  • Translation of articles, newspapers, official documents, etc.
  • Facilitation of administrative tasks for Embassy officials.
  • Protocol duties.
  • Liaising with various offices of the Government of Ethiopia.
  • Any other assigned duties. Starting Salary (equivalent in Birr): USD 500.00 per official month +14% allowance.

Position 2: Executive Assistant

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized university.
  • Excellent command of English and Amharic. Knowledge of regional Ethiopian languages is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills and proficient in computer and social media platforms.
  • Maximum age limit: 40 years. Responsibilities:
  • Organizing and maintaining files, records, and documents.
  • Facilitating administrative tasks for Embassy officials.
  • Liaising with various government offices.
  • Any other assigned duties. Starting Salary (equivalent in Birr): USD 350.000 per month +14% allowances.

Position 3: Multi-Tasking Staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferably 10 years of formal education with practical knowledge in public dealings, office assistance, and gardening.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of areas, including gardening.
  • Capable of conducting liaison work in utility offices and providing other necessary support as required.
  • Any other assigned tasks. Starting Salary (equivalent in Birr): USD 175.000 per month +1.4% allowances.
