The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), an international non-governmental organization (NGO), has been engaged in delivering relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), and migrants, actively promoting and supporting viable solutions. Operating in Ethiopia since 2009, the organization has established offices throughout the region. With financial support from bilateral and multilateral donors, DRC is presently executing various initiatives in Ethiopia. These include WASH and shelter provision, child and youth protection, gender-based violence response, awareness campaigns on migration risks, protection monitoring of migration routes, and livelihoods support for returning migrants or those susceptible to migration.

Position 1: Economic Recovery Manager

Requirements:

  • Master’s or BA in Development Economics, Development Management, Agriculture, International Development, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, or related fields; or Bachelor’s with relevant work experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in managing financial inclusion and community empowerment projects within multi-donor-funded and/or multi-stakeholder projects or programs.
  • Expertise in leading projects focused on employment creation, social security, and market development in alignment with financial inclusion, emphasizing small business climate development under the private sector development agenda.
  • Familiarity with Village Savings Loans Associations (VSLAs), private sector engagement, and experience in implementing livelihoods/self-reliance, gender mainstreaming, peacebuilding/social cohesion, protection, or advocacy interventions within the context of financial inclusion programming.

Position 2: Finance Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, financial management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in finance-related positions.
  • Proven track record in managing the finances of projects funded by international donors.
  • Solid understanding of financial compliance and procedures.
