Position 1: Safety Officer

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Dollo Ado Area Manager and Safety/Access Manager to meet position objectives.
- Conduct necessary assessments, including Context Assessments, and participate in field missions for safety risk assessments.
- Develop and implement Safety Plans, SOPs, Local Safety Rules, Safety Briefings, Safety Advisories, and Site Evaluation Checklists.
- Ensure all staff adhere to safety policies and rules.
- Maintain and update the Record of Emergency Data (RED) list and ensure all new staff submit their forms.
- Lead efforts to identify and mitigate potential safety risks to staff, partners, assets, and operations/programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
- Additional Safety Trainings are advantageous.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in written and spoken Somali.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with humanitarian organizations in similar roles is preferred.
- Strong reporting and communication skills; ability to coordinate staff and create work schedules and plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel), email/Teams, and the internet.
Position 2: Business Development & Grants Manager (Expat and Nationals)
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of full proposals and concept notes, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities for the team.
- Consolidate proposal write-ups and draft budgets for timely submission to selected donors.
- Support program development through quality checks and reviews of project proposals, concept notes, and assessment reports.
- Disseminate donor-specific requirements and guidelines for tenders and proposal processes.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Development, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Skills and Experience:
- At least five years of professional experience in humanitarian emergency contexts with grants management responsibilities, including two years at a management level.
- Experience with multiple sectors, including protection, food security, WASH, economic recovery, and mine action.
- Proven ability to lead a high-performing and diverse team, manage performance, foster a positive working environment, and handle issues diplomatically.
