The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) globally, has been tirelessly providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC is committed to promoting and supporting sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and migrants. Since its inception in 2009, DRC Ethiopia has been dedicated to addressing the needs of refugees, IDPs, and vulnerable host communities. Currently, DRC Ethiopia operates through five field offices located in Gambella, Tigray, Somali (Jijiga & Dollo Ado), and Afar regions, in addition to its country office in Addis Ababa.

Position 1: Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer

Location: Dolo Ado Field Office
Employment Category: H2
Salary Range: USD 540.00 – 656.00 per month (salary to be determined based on candidate’s experience and academic relevance)

Qualifications and Experience:

At least two years of MEAL experience within humanitarian or NGO contexts required. Proven ability to translate logical frameworks and results frameworks into monitoring plans. Demonstrated proficiency in monitoring and evaluation techniques, including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Competence in utilizing software tools such as Excel, SPSS, and familiarity with digital data collection methods. Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, social sciences, development studies, or related disciplines. Fluent in English; proficiency in the local language is advantageous.

Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, SPSS, STATA, and experience with digital data collection tools.
University degree in economics, statistics, social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
Fluency in English and Amharic; knowledge of the local language Tigrigna is an asset.
