The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), an international non-governmental organization (NGO), has been engaged in delivering relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. DRC focuses on addressing the challenges faced by refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), and migrants. Operating in Ethiopia since 2009, the organization is actively implementing various initiatives across the country, funded by bilateral and multilateral donors. These initiatives include WASH and shelter provision, child and youth protection, gender-based violence response, awareness campaigns on migration risks, protection monitoring of migration routes, and livelihoods support for returning migrants or those at risk of migration.

Position 1: Human Resource (HR) Specialist

Experience and technical competencies:

Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a senior HR Officer role within an INGO.

Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge/experience of HR Management principles, concepts & processes.

Extensive knowledge of local labor law.

Demonstrated proficiency in managing and providing guidance on intricate personnel-related challenges. Proven track record in formulating and executing HR strategies and policies.

Experience using an online system for recruitments.

Full professional proficiency in English.

Education:

BA in Human Resource Management or a relevant field of study.

At least 3 years of experience working with INGOs and/or international agencies on similar duties.

Language:

Fluency in English and Amharic; proficiency in other local languages is advantageous.

Title: Human Resource (HR) Specialist

Location: Based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with frequent field travel.

Position 2: Officer for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)

Professional Background and Skills:

Minimum of three years of MEAL experience in the humanitarian or NGO sector.

Proven track record in converting log frames and results frameworks into monitoring plans, crafting data collection tools and protocols, leading data collection and management processes, constructing and managing databases, and analyzing data.

Proficient technical skills in Community and Humanitarian Standards (CHS), accountability, and the establishment of operational CFM systems.

Demonstrated expertise in monitoring and evaluation, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.

Strong analytical, presentation, and report writing capabilities.

Familiarity with software applications such as Excel, Access, or statistical tools like SPSS, STATA.

Prior experience with electronic or mobile data collection.

Educational Qualifications:

Possession of a university degree in statistics, economics, social sciences, or a closely related field.

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in English and Amharic; competence in other local languages is advantageous.
