Position: Tax Accountant
Skills, Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Accounting and Finance with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Management Reconciliation Files.
- Preparation and posting of journals for the finance function.
- Drafting Policies and Procedures.
- Monitoring SAP Compliance.
- Overseeing closure of Internal Audit Findings.
- Managing Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Executing monthly FI close procedures to finalize accounting ledger closure.
- Daily cash flow planning (preparation of internal and external financial reports related to treasury and cash management).
- Providing guidance to the Manager on cash management and investments.
- Reviewing Cash Flow requirements report to ensure adequate funds for operational needs.
- Forecasting to project company cash positions in the short and near future.
- Revaluing FX-denominated balance sheet accounts as required for financial statement preparation.
- Ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance of reconciliations/information reported to CCBA and statutory regulations.
- Timely payment to the Receiver of Revenue by month-end.
- Completing journals with 100% accuracy.
- Identifying, reporting, and resolving reconciliation deviations within one month.
- Timely completion and submission of monthly reconciliations to the Manager for review.
- Conducting balance sheet account reconciliations per finance policies and procedures.
- Resolving critical outstanding items on monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Timely filing of annual tax returns.
