Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Vacancy

The Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections (CECOE) comprises over 175 civil society organizations operating across all regional states and two city administrations. Established in 2019, CECOE plays a pivotal role in enhancing and coordinating the efforts of Ethiopian CSOs in election observation, monitoring, voter education, and preventing post-electoral conflicts.

CECOE has a demonstrated track record, having successfully observed the 6th General Election of Ethiopia, the Sidama referendum, the South West Ethiopia Peoples’ Region referendums, and the South Ethiopia referendum. Additionally, CECOE has been actively involved in advocacy initiatives, focusing on electoral reforms, peacebuilding, and promoting women’s participation in Ethiopian politics.

Position: Human Resource Officer

Education:

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 4 years (with a master’s degree) or 6 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in providing HR support.
Experience in utilizing computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) with advanced knowledge of web-based management systems.
Competencies/Knowledge, Ability, and Skill:

Good knowledge of HR Management principles and practices.
Familiarity with office practices and procedures.
Understanding of Ethiopian Labor Law.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Capacity to maintain positive working relationships and keep records up-to-date.
Proficiency in performing routine and recurring assignments.
Required Language(s):

Fluency in English is required.
