Position 1: Administrative Assistant

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma required; professional diploma/certificate or courses in administration preferred. Additional education may substitute for some experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in an office environment in a clerical or administrative role. Experience with local or international NGOs is advantageous.
  • Skills: Proficiency in typing/word processing, data entry, and various office equipment. Competence in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and information management systems. Proficient in Word.
  • Languages: Strong written and spoken proficiency in the local language.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective time management and ability to multitask.
  • Strong customer service orientation with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and documents.
  • Handle specialized administrative tasks such as translating, typing, proofreading, formatting documents, recording minutes, and drafting correspondence.
  • Prepare transactional documents and support transaction processing.
  • Compile and verify data related to general administration processes and support HR activities as needed.
  • Arrange travel and logistics for staff and visitors, coordinate appointments, and provide logistical support for events.
  • Implement property management processes, manage hotel accommodations, and transfer verified payment documents to the finance team.

Position 2: Senior Project Officer – Market and Context Monitoring

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in project management, business management, development, agriculture, early warning, disaster risk reduction, or a related field. MSc degree with three years’ experience or BSc/BA degree with five years’ experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years (MSc) or five years (BSc) in data management, market assessment, food security, resilience, or early warning systems, preferably with an international NGO.
  • Skills: Experience with partnership activities and institutional strengthening, preferably with religious partners. Strong English writing skills. Knowledge of market monitoring, early warning, food security, and humanitarian assistance principles. Capacity strengthening experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide feedback on weekly and monthly context monitoring reports from partners.
  • Ensure partners use standard reporting formats and train new staff on these formats.
  • Oversee the market monitoring system and provide feedback on market reports.
  • Ensure quality data collection for market and supply chain surveys.
  • Provide program quality monitoring feedback and share findings in technical working group meetings.
  • Train enumerators on market and supply chain surveys.
  • Maintain and update databases and dashboards for market and context monitoring.
  • Support partners in conducting woreda level food security analysis and maintain related databases.
  • Produce and disseminate monthly context and market monitoring reports.
  • Collaborate with JEOP cash, nutrition operation team, and Ethiopian Cash working group for modality decision-making and transfer value setting.
  • Ensure partners conduct quality market assessments for vulnerability-based targeting exercises.
